About Fuse Furniture
We are Fuse Furniture and we love what we do – making Danish designed, commercial furniture for a broad range of markets including workspace, education, hospitality, and senior living.
Almost 25 years ago Damian started Fuse, with a handful of brochures and a burning passion to be one of Australia’s premium furniture distributors. With an unerring eye for design and quality, he curated a collection of design labels from premium international brands, importing top end product for a diverse market.
As the business evolved and markets changed, Fuse moved with it, developing as a licensed manufacturing partner to our Danish brand, Four Design. Today we carry large stocks of components in our Sumner warehouse, and can offer short lead times on our Four Design, OCEE Design (UK) and Niels Gammelgaard ranges, as well as our very own Fuse family of furniture. We now work through a national dealer network and are always excited to hear of the fascinating projects completed in universities, workspaces and other commercial fitouts nationwide.
Moving away from importing fully assembled furniture into manufacturing, has enabled us to reduce prices, and to offer clients the ability to select fabrics and finishes from Australian products. It also enables us to support local business, especially at a time when supporting Australian made was never more important.

‘Innovation is, for us, the driving force that produces results.’
Four Design is a Danish company that develops multi purpose, problem-solving furniture for a wide range of applications. Their furniture is characterised by superb functionalism, and simple, minimalistic design with international appeal. Conceptualising ideas that reflect their values and creating a common thread throughout their collections, products are developed to encourage interaction between people and to create harmony in interiors, no matter where they are used.
Design Philosophy: FDA
‘Function. Design. Aha. Inextricably intertwined with one another, you hear us talk about it a lot. FDA is our way of spelling out exactly what we think design should be all about. We talk about FDA perpetually because we are very adamant about it. It is the backbone of our approach to the way we do things and serves as a succinct summary of our vision, product strategy, and goals. It’s our design philosophy. That something special. The added value. But it is so much more than that. It is a way of life.’ https://fourdesign.dk
Four Design’s belief in the value of human relations and knowledge sharing is evident in the development of their collections. Their research into how people use space and their analysis of market changes, particularly around collaborative learning, result in functional features in their product ranges without compromising design.
Evolving over a period of 30 years, Ocee is an established British furniture manufacturer, with an impressive collection of designers producing high quality, well crafted furniture for commercial workspace.
Design Philosophy: People. Place. Purpose.
‘People. Place. Purpose. That is what we believe design should be all about. Our furniture combines unrivalled functionality, ingenious design, and a healthy dose of wonder. If you ask us, that is what shapes good environments into great experiences. We believe that the furniture we design and the spaces we fill should enrich and inspire the lives of the organisations and individuals that use them. Everybody should be able to work, learn, meet or be entertained in the most beautiful, comfortable, creative and productive spaces. This belief is what makes us tick; it reflects our approach to design and manufacturing, the people we hire and how we go about our work.’
Ocee International Group includes Race Furniture whose collections include iconic mid century designs, and a range of theatre seating which is respected world wide. Founded by renowned British designer, Ernest Race, in 1945, Race has been at the forefront of the design and manufacture of seating for public spaces. They provide customised seating installations in national theatres, opera houses, concert halls, lecture theatres, conference centres, schools and transport terminals worldwide. They also still manufacture the ingenious designs of Ernest Race including the Antelope, BA3, and DA chairs, that utilised improvised or recycled materials post WWII.
